I did a tester journal and used the misters on it. Unfortunately it doesn’t really show up in the picture but it does in person and looks pretty. I added waves and spread it with my fingers. So I made myself some new journals to fill. I really wanted to add a little texture to the waves and sun so I used the liquid glass. Hey party animals In case you missed it, head over and check out the tutorial I created for these DIY travel journals over on Momtastic I have this habit of documenting our travels within an inch of their lives when we are out on adventures so I can remember every single thing. Once I added the sand paste I pulled the stencil up immediately. I used the Texture Sand Paste and a stencil. Line the stencil on top of the cover and apply the sand paste with a spade spatula. I wanted to add an extra detail with a seahorse. I’m not the best painter, but I’m pleased with how it turned out. I wanted it to have the feeling on water and a sunset. Then I started painting on my water first. Since I wanted the watercolor effect, I added some water to each color diluting it. I just used some white acrylic paint and painted on a total of three coats. Since the journal was pink when I purchased it, I decided to paint it white. I was thinking a smaller size journal would be a lot easier to slip into my suitcase or beach bag then a larger size.
